My First Books Released!

Its been a busy month, what with publishing my first two poetry books and another novel scheduled for release later this Summer! Today I'm attending my 3rd Annual Pairing Event at the Yarmouth Musuem where I will be reading my poem, Sea Shells, which is a collaberation with local artist Sylvia Grant.Please take a moment to check out my book store at Lulu.com.

My 1st Historical Cemetery Walk 2012

On Saturday 26th of May, I had my first cemetery walk with about a dozen participants here in Yarmouth. We were lucky enough to have the privlage of viewing the beautiful stone chapel built in 1921 by Mr David Ritchie. After that, we walked thru the lovely kept grounds viewing the lovely old stone markers and taking in the large elm,chestnut and beech trees planted there almost 200 years ago.

I wanted to share a shot I took at a local beach .Its a regular hang-out and I love the salty air, seagulls and local ground hog who hang out with me there : )

The Third Jesus

I've been on a study mission lately with Christianity. I decided to join my local Wesleyan Church in January of this year as a means of reaching out in my spirituality. The people there are very friendly and I love the way they made me feel at home with them. Something important to me ♥ Studying the bible has always been one of my passions...finding meaning in the parables to other aspects of my existence as a simple woman.



Jesus is probably the most misunderstood teacher of the last 2 aeons. His teachings, plus the bible in general, have been used to cause wars, separation from loved ones, famines and extinction of any other religion on the planet. I tend, though, to except 'his word' with my own interpretation...the bible has been re-written SOOOOO many times we may never know what was originally there. Some parts/parables were meant for examples of what not to do I Am sure! I've read the same quote on-line in many versions and it changes text plus loses meaning by the words used. : (



I recently read a book called 'The Third Jesus' written by Deepak Chopra. It was very interesting on his interpretation of Jesus’ New Testament parables. I would recommend for anyone of any religion to read : )

Another rainy day...its times like this I love to take time to reflect the past...I've been looking thru old diaries,surfing the net,sipping tea ,occasinally stopping to work on my poem for the up-coming Pairings event in June at the Yarmouth Musuem when a phrase hits my tea sogged brain. This will be my third year attending this event. ☼
I'm surprised when reading thru my 7 year old journals how much things can change. Writing has become a part of my being it seems. I've already written many short stories for the printer and found a suitable publisher...now for that cash to finish the project! Of course, my better 'half' would love to torment and give this to me ♥ I keep saying ,"be patient"...not my best trait...someone will die first...no applause needed or legs broken...
I've always been a stickler for details...analyzing everything is typical to my birth sign of Aries with a naughty Virgo Moon. : )

I've been listening lately to the quiet out-side my windows at night. The Spring peepers sing me to sleep after meditation, promising of warmer weather soon!

Ahhh...my favorite time of year...the weather is starting to warm, the grass is greening, and the quartz crystals are starting to wash a shore here in South-West Nova Scotia. Did I say Quartz Crystals???! Yes I did! Here is a sample of one I found this morning on my daily beach walk. I can't wait to drive on Sunday to my favorite beach haunt. These babies are scare as hen's teeth but oooooh so lovely to find . Love's U and thanks U, Universe! ♥
