Revelation with Beth Moore- Chapter 13

Revelation Study -Chapter 13
–Matthew 24:13-“but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

I attended the Revelation study with Beth Moore on Thursday morning after missing session's 7 & 8. I really felt I had lost track of what was originally making sense to me. The symbolism means different things to me.
The reason for this, I think, is because I originally looked at the whole thing, feeling we could all relate to it somehow, especially if seeking our Christian connection with God. There are many places in history where this prophecy could have been played out over and over with persons like Hitler, Alexander the Great, Nero, etc. Anyone who wanted great power and didn't give a duck who fell because of it. They all started out as hero, seeking to help humanity, then changed into killer rulers who needed to own the World. This Ego battle still plays out today with World leaders, obviously...one needs only to watch the news or read the paper. There truly is evil at work in our daily life. And then again, everything happens for a reason. What don't kill us makes us stronger? Not sure why we tolerate this as a humanity.

Another thing we talked about was gematria or using numbers to represent letters of an alphabet and the meaning of 666. In the bible, Revelation 13:18- "This calls for Wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man. That number is 666." Ego? I wonder what language they used for the alphabet. Greek, Hebrew or another ancient runic letters? Something to look up, I guess...Really...

It was said that God's people wrote his name on their hand so they could look and remember that they were God's people, so as not to forget when doing their daily chores.
~Isaiah 44:5

Another verse we read to go with this was from Daniel 9:27. Deciphering the sevens. If you read the scripture starting from 9:20 to 9:27, they appear to be saying the religion no longer required sacrifice/blood to appease the God worshiped. Or that’s what I get
: ) a good thing? I believe so! Our Bible ancestors were rowdy bunch, after all...

The end result for me? John 14:17"...the Spirit of Truth? The world cannot accept it, because it can neither see it or knows it.But you know it, for it lives in you and will be: it is you."
