October Up-date

I've been enjoying the sun this last week, going into Yarmouth 3 different times for Physico, which is going ok. The healing is going slowI've been told I'll have to wear a brace for a while till my lower back is feeling...sigh... its a bit annoying not to be able to do much work around the house and my nights are restless, getting up two or three times because of back pain. I've started doing a bit of extra meditation/breathing exercises every day which helps to focus and relieve the ache. it seems to work but time is what is really needed!
The weight loss is going well, dropping 20 plus pounds over the last 1 months to size 16.Extra water, long walks and low fat cooking helped. I've baked up some low-fat goodies to eat like apple crisp, no fat rye bread ( made with a sponge starter) and steamed everything from fish to chicken over noodles/rice for meals.
I've started taking my husky mix dog,Elfie, on my evening walks by Allen's Lake. He's getting older, like me, and has slowed down the last year or so. My younger dog,Molly, likes to pull too much on the leash, so she gets her evening runs behind the house in the field with the horses, which she loves ♥ I made a little video about some of the local geodes I've found below...hope you enjoy ♥

Street Hockey Championship's.... cont.

There's lots more spectators down town in Yarmouth this morning taking in the games. I stood for a hour or so, videoing, chatting with team member's and drinking a free Tim Horton's coffee in the warm sun.
It happened I met the guys from CBC radio. We chatted a few minutes before I realized I knew one of the announcers from my school days! I was surprised that he has a 'stage name'...I won't say which one but I bet my old child-hood friend's will know who it is from Junior High by look'in!  ; )

The play offs are going well with girls and guy teams. Participating. I always loved hockey and watched many "Hockey Night in Canada"games curled up on the couch in my Grand Mother's house as a child. She would crochet, grumbling when it wasn't going well for the Maple Leaf's and screaming when they scored...waking me sometimes as I dozed, waiting for the end to see who won. I wasn't hard to tell if her team didn't win...

September Days coming to a End

I've been walking and enjoying the September days this last week. The leaves are beginning to turn from green to gold & red and so, apparently is this photogenic Dragon-Fly! I've never seen a red one before. I've lost another 10 plus pounds of weight, too, so have been shopping for autumn clothing, looking mostly in the second hand stores in my home Town. I'm not buying anything brand new as I'm hoping to be 30 lbs lighter by Christmas, dropping to my ideal weight of 2001!
