Another rainy day...its times like this I love to take time to reflect the past...I've been looking thru old diaries,surfing the net,sipping tea ,occasinally stopping to work on my poem for the up-coming Pairings event in June at the Yarmouth Musuem when a phrase hits my tea sogged brain. This will be my third year attending this event. ☼
I'm surprised when reading thru my 7 year old journals how much things can change. Writing has become a part of my being it seems. I've already written many short stories for the printer and found a suitable publisher...now for that cash to finish the project! Of course, my better 'half' would love to torment and give this to me ♥ I keep saying ,"be patient"...not my best trait...someone will die first...no applause needed or legs broken...
I've always been a stickler for details...analyzing everything is typical to my birth sign of Aries with a naughty Virgo Moon. : )

I've been listening lately to the quiet out-side my windows at night. The Spring peepers sing me to sleep after meditation, promising of warmer weather soon!

Ahhh...my favorite time of year...the weather is starting to warm, the grass is greening, and the quartz crystals are starting to wash a shore here in South-West Nova Scotia. Did I say Quartz Crystals???! Yes I did! Here is a sample of one I found this morning on my daily beach walk. I can't wait to drive on Sunday to my favorite beach haunt. These babies are scare as hen's teeth but oooooh so lovely to find . Love's U and thanks U, Universe! ♥

Sand Beach, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

I took time this morning to walk one of my child-hood haunts. Sand beach was a regular place myself and my cousins visited as children We would walk on warm days to play in the water and sand eating our peanut-butter sandwiches with bottles of pop bought at Ernie's Grill on the way. There were sand dunes there then...and we would slid down them on our bellies, laughing loudly in the warm sand. How I wish I could go back and appriecate them more now...Its sad to walk there now and look at the litter, remains of a oil spill that happened back in the '60's and watch the people ride around on their 4-wheelers, not noticing the wild life abounding there...: ( On the low tide, you can walk across the stone 'bar' and visit a huge rock in the harbour. This was always a fasination to us and we loved to sit in the little island watching the fishing boats pass to the Yarmouth Wharf.I hope people will visit there and help pick up the trash so it will once again be beautiful ♥ How the beach should look...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9_FAa3mQFc

Eliopoli- Nova Scotia Eco-Village

I've been spending as much time as possible at the Eco-village site, Eliopoli, these days helping Giuseppe,Silka and the other volunteers finish the house as they can move into their new solar energized home ☼ Everything is moving along nicely and they are looking forward to inviting people to a open house, hopefully sometime in the Summer months.
